Celebrate spooky season with two Oklahoma-made horror movies, featuring Cottonmouth (Short 2020) and The Harvesters (2016). Stick around after the screening for an exclusive Q&A with the filmmakers!
Short Film Opener: Cottonmouth dir. by Danny Salemme & Zach Wincik
Starring Heather Langenkamp (A Nightmare on Elm Street)
About the film: A woman takes action once she is sure that someone, or something, is sneaking into her room at night.
Feature Presentation: The Harvesters dir. by Nick Sanford
About the film: Jane wants to change the world with old-fashioned, hard-hitting journalism, but instead she's covering the Founder's Day Bake Sale for her hometown newspaper, The Bailyville Times.
She has a way out: a plane ticket to New York City.
But on the morning of Halloween, a young couple goes missing, and Jane sets off on an investigation that will draw her closer to her hometown — and its secrets — than she could have ever imagined.
Funded through a grueling Kickstarter campaign, raising over $33,000, in January-February of 2016. Filmed in Moore, Tuttle, and Oklahoma City in April of 2016. Was conceived of and written as a reaction to the May 20, 2013 tornado that ripped through Moore, OK.
